Here is a preview of what I'm working on RIGHT NOW.

It's a little planet

Just because I'm better doesn't mean I have to make sense. Oh, and I don't recommend yoga, by the way. THAT was embarassing!

Purple is my favourite flavour

After nearly a month of this illness, I have lost all faith in modern medicine! Tonight I think I'll bury a lock of my hair under a potato and then chant or something.

Lose ten pounds in four days! Guaranteed!

Well, it turns out I couldn't go to my first yoga class on Friday. Instead, this is how I spent the weekend!
Like yoga, becoming very ill is another great way to lose weight! Too bad you also lose all your colour and clothes when you end up in the UBC hospital during a powerout. Although the good news is that my younger sister likes it when I'm sick because I turn delerious and say whatever's on my mind like, "Don't hug me or I'll shout barf at you!" which was completely logical at the time. Anyway, I've been sleeping on and off all day so I'm going to try to go to bed again. Hopefully I get better soon, this is annoying.

Yoga, but not the kind with the fruit on the bottom

I'm scared, tomorrow is my first time yoga-ing on the insistance of my older sister the yoga teacher. Hopefully I don't fall over onto candles like in fake life.

Salt and Pepper

Salt and Pepper. It's a sitcom I invented during a lecture which somehow turned into a rock and roll song about condiments. Get it? One is an uncultured slob and the other is a pretentious egomaniac! It's funny because they're opposites! Other verses to the rock song: Ketchup and Mustard, Ginger and Wasabi. BLAW!

Fanciful Hats

Because the world needs more fanciful hats.

Mucho Mucha

My next assignment for my Drawing & 2D Language class is to do a self-portrait in the style of another artist. I've gone with Alfonse Mucha. I drew this up after class and am in the middle of screwing around with it in Photoshop. Besides the stiff pose, I think it's okay. I guess.

So on Wednesday, my magical twin brother Jeff and I split the cost of a drum kit. Also, I've always wanted to draw something that looked like a concert poster.

Artist Trivia: I used to like calamari before I knew what it was. (although I've tried it since to try and get the taste back)

So I bought Guitar Hero 2 on Tuesday. I drew this at school while thinking about how hard I'm going to rock out. Turns out my brother's friend rocked out so hard on it, he broke the game on Wednesday.

Alternative titles for this blog

"A Sketch A Day Keeps the Apathy Away"
2/5 stars. I don't get it.

"I'll Sketch Your Back, You Sketch Mine"
3/5 stars. I love puns, but if I were to use this for the title, I would probably sketch myself a razor blade, use it to sketch my wrist, then sketch all over the bathtub until I stop sketching.

"Sketches by Steph"
2/5 stars. Tried to mirror the title of my comic, Comics by Steph, but really, it's quite a boring title.
